Capital Gorge, Grand Wash and Fishing Lower Bowns

Everyone in Mike's family arrived on Friday night and so Saturday was our first real day to do some exploring. We drove to the end of Capital Reef, and then entered Capital Gorge, where you drive through a pretty tight canyon. It is really cool. At the end of the drive you hike less then a mile to a pioneer registry and some indian drawings. The kids had fun but liked picking up rocks and climbing into the holes in the mountain the most.

Because the girls took a picture on a rock Aidan wanted to get a picture on a rock, and so this is the pose he gave me.

Then we went to Grand Wash but the sun was coming out, so it was hot, and we were getting ready for lunch, so we only went in a little and then came back. As you can see in the pictures it looks a lot the same.

Then we went back to our little cabin and played ball, ate and took a little rest.

Aidan ate Brownie Bites every time he got a chance. He liked the ones with the powdered sugar the best.

The boys that afternoon went fishing in Lower Bowns, and caught fish after fish. We have decided that Aidan doesn't like to fish, he likes to catch. :)
