Chase the Cookie

Thanks to Christie Madisyn and I were able to race in such a fun race this Saturday. We ran CHASE THE COOKIE sponsored by the Girl Scouts of America. We ran the 2K and Madisyn did great, she started a little fast but look how good she looked running.

Here is the Samo cookie. If you beat the cookies in the 5K you get a COOKIE CRUMBLER hat. The Thin Mint ran a 16 minute 5K and the Samo a 19. Yikes I'm not beating any cookie soon, but a cute race.

I am so proud of my little one.

Grace and Brinley came too, it was SOOO... much fun to have the little girls running, and check out those hats, everyone commented on how cute they were.

My little girl made it SNOW and all.

You had to run through the snow at the end and Madisyn did so good running up the finish at the end.

I LOVE EDAMAME

Nicole loves edamame and she loved it so much that she even looked through all of the empty pods on the floor to find more edamame. I just had to laugh at her.

It's a Bird It's a Plane It's Aidan

NO TRAINING WHEELS!!!
Aidan has been loving his bike since his training wheels has come off. I took off his training wheels when Logan next door was off and riding his bike so OF course Aidan had to ride his without training wheels too. Emma, Aidan and Holden all learned within days of each other to be followed by Truman (almost 3 years old). The entire neighborhood seems to be riding without training wheels. We are all just getting too big.

Coloring Easter Eggs

This year I bought the basic "Color the Easter Egg Package" white crayon, colors, stickers, and one awesome shrink wrap the egg. When I was little I remember putting my eggs inside these but thinking how lame, because they were too big for the egg. This year I read the instructions and HOW COOL, with a warm egg you place the wrapper on and then blow dry the egg and the plastic melts so perfect on your egg!! I thought it was awesome looked great and no mess. The kids thought it was cool, but of course still wanted to still color the eggs. WHO came up with colored MESSY Easter Eggs?

Bompa's Birthday = Bompa's Ice Cream Cake!

We went to sacrament only on Sunday, and it was wonderful Madisyn bore her testimony for the first time, and it went something like this..."I would like to bare my testimony I know this church is true and I know that me getting baptized is the first step for me to go to Heaven, I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen." All on her own, she had been telling me what she was going to say, but this was never on the list, she is defiantly on a entirely different spiritual level then I was when I was eight.
After sacrament it was so beautiful outside I had to get a picture of all of us, and I am glad I did, I thought this picture turned out great. I love how Madisyn is standing in the middle in her new dress with her scriptures there right in the front.

We couldn't forget that this was Bompa's Birthday though and when I told the kids that we were having Bompa's Birthday at the house they both wanted to know if we were having Bompa's Ice Cream Cake with the individual ice cream cones. So I had to go get another Ice Cream cake.

Check out that cake, ice cream cake with ice cream on top. Such a perfect Bompa cake.

Bompa making his wish....did he wish for an ipad 2 because surprise Mike and I found one at the Best Buy here in Sandy. ipad's are still a hot commodity and we couldn't walk around the store with it, and we had to purchase it at customer service, and then be checked again at the door, but we got BOMPA an ipad 2 with enough memory to hold everything! Also Facetime was a huge hit with him and my kids as I sat in the other room to face time. He seemed really excited about his new gift.

Playing and Eating at the House

After the baptism we headed back to the house for food and fun.
Nicole wanted to feel like she was part of the action and took it upon herself to sit next to Daddy on her own stool. Too cute.

Just Dance was a huge hit downstairs. We had to make sure everyone had a chance, so feelings weren't hurt.

I had to have a reason for an ice cream cake, so Madisyn received a congratulations cake with cookie dough ice cream in the middle.

Baptism Day is Here--With Snow?

We woke up BRIGHT and Early for Madisyn's Baptism, and there was snow out side, and it continued to snow through out the day. My neighbor said the world wanted to be white for Madisyn's special day.
Here is Madisyn in the dress my sisters, my nieces and I wore to be baptized in. It is pretty old, but really really cool, to be using the same dress.

McClayn and Madisn are two peas in a pod. Look at them too cute. I am so glad they came up, and that they were able to stay with us, Madisyn had so much fun with her cousins.

Here we are all together before the baptism.

Daddy and Madisyn getting ready to take the plunge.

Madisyn and I before the program.

Grandma and Grandpa who came up from Las Vegas for the event.

Madisyn was super excited that the day was finally here.

Madiysn and her cousins showing their excitement for baptisms.

Here are Jackson and Carrson, who drove up from St. George for the occasion.

My brother Tristan, who my kids adore, and Madisyn's favorite Irelynn.

Nana and Bompa who also made the trip from Las Vegas.

Jenni my sister who made a special trip to be here, because she was the one Madisyn choose to speak on the Holy Ghost and she did a WONDERFUL job.

Cousins from Houston showing their support as well.

A Big Thanks to Trent again for coming down.

Madisyn shared the spotlight with two other boys from our ward. Carter and Carson. Look how cute they all look.

Madisyn and our next door neighbor Rachel. Madisyn was excited to see all of her friends there to support her as well.

We missed a couple of friends that escaped without a picture, but here are our neighbors, Brinley, Logan, Rachel and Landon.

I tried to get a picture of everyone that had stayed right before we left, and boy was it tough getting everyone to stand there, but here it is.

Swimming and Incredible Pizza

Nana and Bompa made sure they stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool so the grandkids would have a place to swim. Thanks again.

We found that Nicole not only LOVES the water, but will splash her self and others without any care. Oh yea and just step in the pool and fall in, and then when you pull her out she has a huge grin. She has to be part fish.

Madisyn and Aidan excited to be going swimming when there is snow on the ground and snow still falling.

We were going to go the Bee's Baseball Game tonight, but it was snowed out so we went to Incredible Pizza (now Planet Play) and had probably more fun. We did Go Carts, tons of Lazar Tag, Bumper Cars, and tons of games to win tickets so the kids could all get a COOL prize at the end.

Keaten, and McClayn traveled up from Las Vegas for the baptism.

Afton and Tatum flew in from Houston.

Look at all of those beautiful girls, oh and Aidan. It was great when Tristan and Carrson showed up so Aidan had a friend.

We take our Lasar Tage seriously, checkout Madisyn's focus, and McClayn sizing up her opponents.

Aidan is explaining to me what to do. He LOVED this game, and would hide and then just shoot everyone as you went by. He was one of our biggest threats.

Look at that team!! We had tons of fun.

The kids loved bummer cars. They were floating on air and super fun.
