Madisyn the Flower Girl

We had a friend get married and she needed someone to be a partner flower girl with her little sister Kimber, so Madisyn got to be a flower girl for the first time. Isn't she so pretty. She loved her red dress and sparkly red shoes.

After the ceremony and before the reception Mike and I made a quick getaway to Olive Garden. Here I played with my Color Accent Mode on my camera again. But doesn't he look GOOD in purple.

Last Day at Disney!!

So my parents flew out Wednesday morning and Jenni and Max drove home right after the game, but Mike and I wanted to make this a 3 day trip so we were off to Disney again. We rode all of our classic rides. Splash, Big Thunder, Peter Pan, Dumbo, It's a Small World, Autotopia, Buzz, and anything the kids felt like they hadn't rode the two days before.

As dinner time approached the kids wanted to go to the Lakewood mall again and play on the big fruit in the food court. Madiysn and Aidan are always the only white kids, and this time Madisyn came over and said Mom I'm playing with black kids. Mike was a little worried, and I said that those little kids are saying, mom I'm playing with white kids, so no big deal. They always have fun at that mall.

All in all a great 3 day trip to Disney.

Make Overs, Jedi's, and the Yankees

Tuesday we went to Disney 365 in Downtown Disney and the girls got a pop star make over while the boys went into the park and rode Toy Story Mania, and played the Midway Carnival Games (more stuffed animals, I hate stuffed animals).

The girls got to get their make-up and hair done, and pick out a styling rock diva outfit. Tutus I guess are the big thing, and lace gloves, can we say Madonna is coming back. The girls had tons of fun, and after the make over my parents, Jenni and I got to be there screaming fans and paparazzi as they were interviewed and then hurried over to a photo shoot. It couldn't have been better, and I liked it because Madisyn I think is getting a little too old for a PRINCESS make-over so this was a perfect way to have fun with her older girl cousins.

Latter that day, we did JEDI Training, and Aidan would NOT go up, but Madisyn did this time and not only did she fight Darth Vader she also got to do the force push on the Storm Troopers. Check her out.

After Jedi training we headed to THE "A" Anahiem stadium to watch the Angels play the Yankees. We had great bleacher seats, with the kids all in front of us adults just behind them. Madisyn loved doing Kai's hair, and her own make-up, but Aidan seemed to really like being at the game. We had one home run from Matsui (sp) that came within just a few rows up and to our right, but really fun. The Yankees won 6 to 5 making the game even that much better. (No Pictures though, we forgot to take my camara)

BEST COMBO MOVE-Disney and Chicken Dinner

We flew out early Monday morning to go to Disneyland with Max and Jenni's Family and my Mom and Dad. We stayed across the street again. I love being able to check in and just walk across to the park. As always with my family we first went to TOY STORY MANIA. After riding that ride a couple times, we went to Bugs World and I got to watch the movie for once, since Aidan and Madisyn hate it. Aidan always says "Me hate that ride."The kids went with Chynna and Irelynn into bugs world to ride the rides.

After we enjoyed the rides at Disney we went to Knott's Berry Farm for a wonderful California Classic, Chicken Dinner. It was great!

All of the cousins

Getting ready to get soaked on Grizzly Rapids.

Ready for Soaring Over California.

Kai dominating the bugs bumper cars. Jenni and Aidan had no choice but to throw their arms in surrender.

my Dad and Jenni. I think Jenni loves Disneyland more then I do? (is that possible)

Max and Aidan

SH-Cascade Springs

This Saturday we did a little hike called Cascade Springs. We couldn't walk in the water, but the Spring is pretty cool. The water is beautiful and has tons of cascading waterfalls. You could see the trout really well, and Aidan loved looking for fish. Lacey got to come this time, but we had to hold her back from jumping in after the fish.

The kids ate their lunch in the car before the hike. They both thought that was pretty cool. The things that make kids happy.

Iron Man!

Aidan got his Halloween costume early and I am so happy that he wants to wear it. The past couple years he really hasn't wanted to be anything and it was always a fight, so I am excited that he loves his costume. He even wears it OUTSIDE in the hot sun. Oh well he loves it.

Apples, and Sulpher Creek

On Sunday we went to church in Bicknel and then visited Greatx4 Grandma and Grandpa Hanson in Loa. Doing the math with the years they were alive we figure they probably started with others the little town of Loa. The rest of their family moved on to Nephi where a lot of Mike's ancestors are from.

Then we ate lunch and we went on another adventure. We looked at the indian drawings just off the road in Fruita, (Capital Reef) and then went to the peach orchard that was open on Friday, but now Sunday it was closed. I was quite sad, So we then went to pick pears and they had apples too. The kids had fun climbing up and picking the fruit. What a great experience for the little ones. We also saw tons and tons of deer.

I then led the family on to Sulpher Creek with the promise that it was going to lead to a waterfall. My family would laugh because they always say that no matter what, I can always find a waterfall, and yes in dry dessert Capital Reef I found a beautiful waterfall, we named it Cousin's Falls. The girls loved it. They all walked the river the entire way and then around a corner Keaton yelled hey there it is and sure enough we had made it. The girls were troopers and loved walking in the water. I would say one of the best hikes in Capital Reef!!

Madisyn and I loved the rock formation called The Castle and here is Keaton and Madisyn with The Castle behind them. We told them it looked like Diamond Castle from the Barbie movie.

Capital Gorge, Grand Wash and Fishing Lower Bowns

Everyone in Mike's family arrived on Friday night and so Saturday was our first real day to do some exploring. We drove to the end of Capital Reef, and then entered Capital Gorge, where you drive through a pretty tight canyon. It is really cool. At the end of the drive you hike less then a mile to a pioneer registry and some indian drawings. The kids had fun but liked picking up rocks and climbing into the holes in the mountain the most.

Because the girls took a picture on a rock Aidan wanted to get a picture on a rock, and so this is the pose he gave me.

Then we went to Grand Wash but the sun was coming out, so it was hot, and we were getting ready for lunch, so we only went in a little and then came back. As you can see in the pictures it looks a lot the same.

Then we went back to our little cabin and played ball, ate and took a little rest.

Aidan ate Brownie Bites every time he got a chance. He liked the ones with the powdered sugar the best.

The boys that afternoon went fishing in Lower Bowns, and caught fish after fish. We have decided that Aidan doesn't like to fish, he likes to catch. :)
