First Day in Nauvoo

Max and Jenni took Irelynn and Chynna to do Baptisms for the Dead and we Mike and I took the younger ones to the village. We made rope...

Aidan found a wagon he wanted me to take a picture by...

We visited the Seventies Hall-first MTC (this was my favorite, and latter I found out that my friend Ken Hess build the brick outhouse there)

We learned how wagons were made and how the saints had to concentrate on building wagons and packing wagons to get moving West.

In the Blacksmith shop the kids got to see a real blacksmith at work, and they all got to get a pioneer ring. This seemed to be the BIG highlight for the day. I wondered with Nicole down the road to Joseph Smith's office and store, where above was the room he started the Relief Society.

After we got back for lunch, we changed and went through a session with Max and Jenni while my parents officiated. It was really neat to see my parents in action. They both did wonderfully. My Dad took us on a tour to the Baptism Font, the Sealing Rooms on the 5th floor and the bell tower. It was really neat, and really LOUD!!!
